Guitar Building Trade School

Our first trade school is being established in the village of Mpigi, just outside the bustling city of Kampala in southern Uganda. This is where we will train local craftsmen & women in the fine art of acoustic guitar construction. Luthiery training will be provided by master luthier, J.A.Duncan. Additional masters who are specialists in specific facets of the construction process, may spend as much as a month as ‘guest’ instructors, enhancing the students experience. Students are required to complete two high-quality guitars during the course. One of these will be kept by the student, and the other will be sold in lieu of tuition fees.
